How do I activate my uTalki™ radio?All uTalki™ radios come pre-installed with our software. Simply turn on the device and follow the on-screen instructions. No app or activation code required.

Do I need a subscription or SIM card?No. There are no monthly fees, SIM cards, or data plans required.

How do I join a TalkGroup™?If your device was pre-programmed for your organization, it will auto-join your assigned TalkGroup™. To join a different group, simply press the backlit "down arrow" key to and select the TalkGroup™ you would like to join and press "enter".

What’s the difference between TalkGroup™ and private calls?TalkGroup™ connects to multiple radios at once. Private calls are one-on-one. You can toggle between both in your radio settings.

How many TalkGroups™ can I join?Each radio can monitor multiple TalkGroups™ depending on your setup plan. Contact support if you need more added.

Can I use the software on my phone?YES but no apps are required to use the radio. The software is embedded directly into the radio system—no downloads or external devices required.

My radio isn’t connecting—what should I do?Make sure the radio is charged, powered on, and within your assigned TalkGroup™. If the issue persists, contact support or upload a support form.

The GPS location isn’t updating.Some models only update location when you leave your location. Sometimes when you power the unit off and then turn it back on, the GPS will not locate until you move from that current location. Rest assured that the last location that was tracked will still be available if the unit was powered off.

My radio won’t power on. What should I do?Ensure the battery is charged and properly seated. Try holding the power button for 3–5 seconds. If it still doesn’t turn on, contact support.

I’m not hearing anything.Check the volume dial, make sure you’re connected to the correct talk group, and confirm the microphone/speaker isn’t obstructed.

My device isn’t connecting to my group.Restart the radio and verify your group ID with support. If your group requires admin approval, you may need to be manually added.

How long does it take to receive my order?Most uTalki™ radios ship within 2 business days. Shipping times vary by location but average 3–7 business days.

Can I track my shipment?Yes. You'll receive an email with tracking details once your order is processed.

What is your return policy?Unused devices can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Contact support to request a return authorization.
